We are happy to announce the house and forest will be taken over by a little bundle of joy on or around
February 23rd 2013.
To those of you who know our family well, you know this is a very popular birthday week (Grand-Papa Yvon is February 20th, Tante Melanie is February 21st and Maman Stephanie is February 25th). It will be fun to see if the baby will share a birthday with one of us.
The pregnancy has so far gone ridiculously well, to the point where I thought I had miscarried at around 7 weeks because I didn't think it was normal to not have any symptoms. I went to my first appointment at 10 weeks thinking I was going to get bad news but instead we heard a very strong 165 bpm heartbeat. We decided to nickname the fetus Casper because it's like a little ghost...I can't even tell it's there.
We will keep you updated on ultrasounds and test results as they make their way to us.

ReplyDeleteTheir reaction was a mix of confusion and...more confusion. Haha. I think they haven't figured out the whole baby making thing yet. Also, they seem to think I'm not an adult so it might have something to do with that.
DeleteI'm sure it will be cool for them to see my belly grow and to feel the baby kick though. Not so sure they will be thrilled by the crying and the diaper stink. They are boys after all ;)

DeleteJe n'ai pas arrêté de sourire depuis que j'ai su la nouvelle. Petit Casper est très chanceux parce qu'il y a beaucoup d'amour qui l'attend! Vous allez être des parents extraordinaires. :) On a bien hâte de rencontrer ce nouveau petit trésor et le ou la gâter!! Il faut que je travaille sur Hugo...il ne comprend pas trop trop et a peur que tout de suite en sortant, le petit bébé va prendre ses bonhommes de lego...ha ha! Je vous aime!!!

Félicitation! à vous deux, Quelle belle surprise nous avons eu en revenant de vacances. On est content pour vous autres.
